I think you'll find samplers a very rewarding experience. When I'm stitching a reproduction, I do think of the girl who stitched before me. It's a connection across many, many years.<br /><br />There are a lot of good resources online as far as stitch help (diagrams and such). If you can at all afford it, use silk. You will love it. Leave in all of those little mistakes, and make a few of your own. Listen to some good music. Have a cat or dog near for company.
